Filed under “light on the details, but coming soon” are new wide carbon rimmed mountain bike wheels from Acros. Two versions will be offered, both using the new tubeless ready, hookless 30mm (internal) wide carbon fiber rims. The difference between the Race and Enduro versions will be the hubs and the spoke counts…
A deep center channel and dropped bead pocket should help tires seat easily and stay put in tubeless operation.
The rim uses an asymmetric profile to achieve more even spoke angles. Wheelset weights are TBD, and the firm shipping date is simply “coming soon”.
The Race version is shown here with their 28-hole Nineteen XC hubs using straight pull spokes. The Enduro version will use the same rim mated to their 32-hole Nineteen ED hubs with J-bend spokes.
