A fundraiser has been established for professional freerider Adolf Silva. Earlier this week, we reported on the results of this year’s Redbull Rampage event. Unfortunately, this year’s event was marked by some of the most catastrophic crashes we’ve seen in years.
Most notable was Adolf Silva’s double backflip attempt down a tremendously large drop. Silva came up short and was airlifted from the Utah venue. While “updates” in the form of photos of Silva in a hospital bed were posted in the following days, no information was shared on the extent of his injuries.

That is, until today. Unfortunately, reports are that Silva has no sensation from the chest down. We first saw the update on Silva’s condition from an Instagram post from Road 2 Recovery, a foundation supporting injured professional athletes.
According to Road 2 Recovery:
“In October 2025, during Red Bull Rampage, Adolf suffered a life-changing crash while doing what he loves most: pushing limits and chasing progression. The impact left him with a serious spinal injury. Right now, Adolf has no sensation below the chest. It’s simply too early for anyone to know what the future holds; only time, healing, and his body’s own signals will tell. What hasn’t changed is his spirit.”
They go on to say:
“This is the same rider who came back from a coma and a broken femur to land world-firsts and lift the next generation. The challenge is bigger now — but so is our community.”

We, of course, are gutted to hear this news and are wishing Adolf Silva a speedy recovery. If you would like to contribute to Silva’s recovery, you can do so through Road 2 Recovery.
Update:
Adolf Silva recently posted an update to his YouTube channel detailing his injuries. According to Silva, he broke his T2/T3 vertebrae and dislocated them all the way down to T6. That’s in addition to breaking his sternum and 6 ribs. A five-hour surgery was needed to stabilize his spine, and he currently has no feeling from the chest down. Silva plans to keep everyone updated on his progress while recovering with a new series called Still LOCO.
