Handmade in the Italian Dolomites since 2016, Alpitude’s Stelvio HS is probably the lightest and sleekest out-front computer mount for many of the most sought-after ultralight integrated road bike cockpits on the market. Offering a direct-mount solution for popular Deda, Roval, Specialized & THM handlebars, the new full-carbon Stelvio HS also
Alpitude Stelvio HS ultralight GPS mount for integrated bars
Alpitude already lays claim to the ‘world’s lightest out-front computer mount‘ with their recent Stelvio Corretto from just under 13g. But with more modern proprietary 1-piece ultralight bar+stem cockpits and integrated aerodynamic handlebars on the market, seemingly universal solutions like the Corretto just might not fit your fancy bar.
So, if you have one of these wildly light Roval Alpinist or extra aero Roval Rapide cockpits, or a Specialized Tarmac with its separate SL7 stem you’re pretty limited to what computer mount you can use because of the unique mounting interface. The same goes for THM’s 78g full-carbon Tibia stem, or Deda’s Alanera integrated cockpit. All of these modern road cockpit setups feature unique shaping, and unfortunately also special faceplate accessory mounting interfaces.
Alpitude to the rescue!
Tech details
But Alpitude has a modular solution with their new full-carbon Stelvio HS computer mount that can adapt to all of these bars with a bit of varied hardware. And they are still wicked light – just 19g for the Roval solutions vs. the stock 30g mount. Plus, the same patented carbon loop in the optional Combo kit adds less than 3g more, making it easily the lightest way to attach a GoPro or light.
Alpitude makes all of their carbon mounts and custom alloy hardware in Italy. The Stelvio HS features 2-position device mounting that means it will fit large and small devices – like the Garmin Edge 540/840 vs. the Edge 1040. That means, buy one premium out-front mount now. And then it will still work even if you change cycling computers down the road. HS, btw stands for Hyper Short, as it is their shortest mount overall, even with big computer compatibility.
You can of course also pick from different adapters to fit the most common cycling computer interface standards.
