Coming in as Argonaut Cycle’s new flagship model, the production Supernaut claims to deliver the essence of Argonaut. Originally launched back in 2023 as a limited edition, the Supernaut is now a permanent member of the family, with 30 dedicated production slots available in 2025.

Built on a decade of innovative composite manufacturing, all in the pursuit of perfecting the ride quality, the Supernaut distills that experience into the “perfect bicycle”, and one that the crew at Argonaut chooses to ride, day in and day out.

Ben Farver, Argonaut Founder says “This is the bike we want to ride. Every. Single. Day. A performance-centered build focused on ride quality, speed, experience, and enjoyment.”

Argonaut Supernaut

The Supernaut will be produced in raw carbon with Caribbean Pearl accents, and will only be available in a complete bike. Once Argonaut calculates a rider’s “biomechanical window”, that is to say, a rider’s optimal position for efficient power generation, the rider will have 13 size options to choose from, precisely matching the rider’s physical needs.

Each one of the Supernauts is made in Bend, Oregon. They use a composite engineering technique called high-pressure silicone molding (HPSM). This technique is said to improve the efficiency and quality of the molding process.

The in-house HPSM process can make sizes-specific layup patterns, and “dramatically higher-quality” parts. Even the tooling for the HPSM technique is made in Bend Oregon allowing Argonaut to be in complete control of quality.

Supernaut GR3 and RM3

The Supernaut line includes the GR3 gravel bike and the RM3 Road machine. With the Supernaut line, Argonaut offers similar performance whether you’re riding road or gravel.

Argonaut states that the Supernaut is the expression of hundreds of potential carbon layups over the years. They provide carbon layup patterns based on rider weight, power, and intended use, making for an unforgettable gravel or road riding experience.

When it comes to the Supernaut, Argonaut was looking at the bike as a “system” that started with a concept of enhanced ride quality. Argonaut says that they were able to find the exact point on the displacement curve where the rider’s output matches the natural flex of the frame.

The Supernaut also makes the buying experience easy with pre-determined build kits and paint. It will be available exclusively with SRAM Red or Shimano Dura-Ace, as well as Argonaut’s D33/R43 wheelsets.

These bikes are all built by hand in the PNW, utilizing cutting-edge carbon-building techniques. The experience starts with a conversation with the Argonaut team. They will work directly with the rider throughout the process, providing mechanical support and ongoing consults as needed.

$2800 for a wheelset, even one as light as these, is absolutely nuts. You could build a lighter wheelset for quite a bit less money.
