AUDI Lightweight Sport Concept completeLightweight and quattro GmbH have partnered to develop the Audi Sport Racing Bike, a limited release concept model with luxury touch-points, to be released at the upcoming Geneva Motor show. The good news is that this will be several orders of magnitude more reliable than an Audi car and way less heartbreaking to repair if something does break. Just look up Audi V8 cam chain replacement.

It sounds like you or your family have been hurt by this horrible Audi reliability issue — I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing it on this cycling website.

BigBenny – you sound like a really fun person. I thought Joe’s comment was on point.

Cars making bicycles?
Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Audi…make cars no bikes.

Glad they skipped Sram, otherwise would be as reliable as any other Audi.

Check out Consumer Reports – Audi is one of the most reliable cars on the market… It’s too bad that your old-school Audi has tainted your judgement of this Lightweight. How’s that old 9-speed Ultegra STI lever doing?

why do car makers feel they have to take someone else’s bicycle, paint it, maybe put a badge or a corporate logo on it and sell it for more than its worth? this is just a GMC Denali bike for the 1%

Perfect fit for Lightweight. This sort of bling stuff is so 2010. It’s like Europe’s Escalade.

I want to see Peterbilt team up with Surly to do a fat bike with a truck engine.

As an Audi dealer, it pains us to hear about issues that Slow Joe Ceow had with his Audi. We would be glad to address those issues. And, if this bike is as amazing as the Audi e-bike Wörthersee that we experienced in Germany last year, it is going to be our new favorite commuter.

The check light just came on, time to take it to the shop again.
I heard they’re rebranding a Christini for the Quattro edition.

Trolling over. It’s actually not a bad paint job. I guess if you have the disposable income to consider such a purchase it will complement your garage storage hook nicely.

^ Good point, but my Lamborghini BMC and Ferrari Colnago are using the red hooks already 🙁

Since Audi’s I have experienced have all had wonderful electrical problems, (like sunroofs that open on their own), I would have to expect this will have similar issues.

Perhaps they have programmed in some ghost shifting for the Di2. Ahhh…. now it feels like a true Audi!

Marketing is marketing… I await the day VAG or Ford, GM et al buys up a Giant or Specializied, because these companies are tiny by comparison and just like Audi bought Ducati to get expertise etc.
I am on my 5th Audi ( 4 VW’s previously ) and I am a very happy VAG customer, any issues have been sorted quickly and correctly in my experience.

@Jason, in the circles I move in, older Audi cars are know for frequent failures and epic repair bills, so I was playing for laughs that an Audi bike with Shimano would be stone reliable compared to the Q7 or “pay 4”.
Also what is this 9 speed Ultegra STI of which you speak? I run SRAM Rival on my drop bar bike.

this is probably one of the least offensive bikes done by a car manufacturer. so many of them have been hideous or non-functional ‘concept’ pieces. it’s almost refreshing that they decided to not try and ‘make’ another bike and just rebrand an existing (and proven) bike.

Man I got to have this bike so people will envy me, but first I must sell my Yugo Huffy that I just updated with a Sun Race Group and a set of steel wheels? Any one interested?

Looks like I need to find a rack for my R8. Maybe Sea Sucker will work.

Perfect !

I just reversed over my Ferrari Pinarello in my Q7 as the radio turned on instead of the reversing cameras.

I prefer German quality and reliability over Italian quality and reliability given there is no real difference now anyday.
