Now in its second year of operation, greenlightride.comâ€â€QBP’s online bike-trip-tracking applicationâ€â€has thrown down the gauntlet and turned up the heat. The newly posed “Race to Paris†challenge is Greenlight’s largest undertaking to date. According to the challenge details on the Greenlight website, “in July, the Tour de France pros will cover 3,600km (2,230 miles). If you started today, could you log that many kilometers (miles) by July 25?â€Â
The challenge pits everyday riders against the pros. Open to both individuals and teams, the challenge tracks the miles riders log at greenlightride.com and compares them to the mileage completed by Tour de France riders at every stage. For example, a rider who logs 600 miles by July 25 will have ridden the equivalent of the first five stages.
When the Tour starts, any solo-challenge rider completing the mileage equivalent of each stage is entered into a drawing for prizes. The sum total is valued at $15,000. As the distances get longer toward the end of the Tour, the prizes get bigger while the pool of eligible riders gets smaller.

During an additional stage-by-stage team challenge, teams of 10 players attempt to match the distance covered by Tour riders on each day with their aggregate miles, beginning with the prologue time trial and ending in Paris. To check in on the competitions, visit:
