BBB Cycling introduced its most advanced lens, the FLUX, in early 2025. During that year, they released the new lens on two different sunglasses, the Valor FLUX and Chester FLUX. As they stepped in 2026, BBB Cycling added the new Arc FLUX to its lineup of glasses with the advanced lenses.
FLUX Lens
First, let’s talk about the BBB Cycling FLUX lens. BBB designed the FLUX to be their most advanced lens, filtering out non-essential light across the spectrum. In doing so, the brand claims improved clarity and contrast, making it easier for your eyes to distinguish between colors and details. The FLUX lens blocks both UV-A and UV-B rays entirely, along with harmful infrared and blue light.
BBB Cycling incorporated quite a bit of technology in the FLUX lens protect your eyes and increase performance. They also added a lot of tech on the lens to protect it and improve performance.
The inside and outside of FLUX lenses receive an anti-scratch coating. On the inside, BBB uses an anti-fog treatment to keep vision clear. The lens’s exterior has an oleophobic coating to resist moisture and prevent trail debris from sticking to it.
Currently, the FLUX lens is seen across three sunglass options from BBB Cycling: the Valor, the Chester, and now the Arc.
BBB Cycling Arc FLUX
The Arc FLUX frames consist of bio-based Rislan Clear Rnew G850. This is a high-quality, sustainable plastic derived from plant-based materials. Essentially, it is castor oil. The G850 BBB Cycling uses a 45% bio-based carbon that starts as castor beans.
Using this material reinforces BBB Cycling’s commitment to ensuring its products have minimal environmental impact. Plus, it keeps the frames light and comfortable, and, as BBB claims, “virtually unbreakable.”
BBB prioritized the Arc FLUX’s fit and stability in the frame’s design. They feature an interchangeable nosepiece, allowing the user to find a perfect fit. The glasses also feature interchangeable lenses and will come with a clear lens that can easily be swapped out for low-light days.
For the 2026 race season, BBB is supporting the Dutch VolkerWessels women’s race team. And, yes, you’ll see the VolkerWessel team wearing the Arc FLUX glasses.
