Belgian Cycling Factory (BCF) kicked off 2026 by introducing a new warranty. The updated policy covers frames and forks manufactured by the brands BCF owns: Ridley, Nukeproof, Eddy Merckx, and Aeres.
The new policy applies to bikes purchased in 2026 and extends their previous warranty from 2-5 years (depending on brand) to lifetime coverage across BCF’s offerings. It also extends to the second owner if the bike is sold, provided it is registered within 30 days of the original purchase.

In the past handful of years, we’ve seen an uptick in brands extending their warranties to lifetime coverage. Last year, Pivot launched its Premiere Lifetime Warranty, and in 2023, Ibis updated their policy to cover frames and wheels for life.
However, “lifetime” often carries an asterisk, as it does here. A review of BCF’s new warranty reveals that the brand caps its “lifetime warranty” at 10 years from the purchase date. Another important distinction to note is that the Nukeproof Dissent downhill bike maintains its two-year warranty.

BCF hopes its move to lifetime coverage demonstrates the organization’s commitment to quality products:
“With this move, BCF reaffirms its commitment to durable products, transparency, and long-term relationships with both riders and retailers,” Jochim Aerts, CEO of Belgian Cycling Factory, said. “The new warranty replaces the previous 2/5-year system and forms part of a broader strategic choice: investing in long-term trust rather than short-term commercial incentives.”
So, if you’ve purchased a bike from one of these brands since January, ensure you register it. Check the links below:
