PRESS RELEASE: Whole Living (formerly called Body + Soul) has teamed up with Friends of the Hudson River Park and Transportation Alternatives to encourage New Yorkers to bike to work Friday, May 21 (National Bike to Work Day) by offering free breakfast – bagels, fruit, and smoothies created by a bike-powered blender – to bikers along the bike path beside the West Side Highway at 26th Street. We’ll also be handing out bike safety kits, maps of bike paths in and around New York City, and raffling off some of the biking gear featured in the June issue of Whole Living magazine, including a BRAND NEW Gazelle bike! Contest and event details here. Here’s what else you can win:

“Stop by for your chance to meet the editors and win helmets, locks, shoes, baskets, bags, and more, from retailers such as Lazer, Kryptonite, Cateye, Bontrager, REI, Camelbak, Keen, Chariot Carriers, Park Tool, and Lezyne. And one lucky commuter will win our grand prize: a super-sweet Gazelle single-speed bike!”
