Christopher Bertoia sent in a couple of photos of his daughter (and niece) watching as he did some Keirin racing recently at the International Velodrome at Bloomer Park in Rochester Hills, Michigan, just north of Detroit. Chris was amused that it was pretty clear that “she could care less that I am moving 44.1mph at the moment of this shot.”

Get used to you kid ignoring you, Chris, and just enjoy your time on the bike!

Check out another photo the Chris sent in from the start of the ride after the break. We love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

How in the heck do you do 44mph on that old ratty track?

The track surface was replaced a year or two ago. It is buttery smooth. And almost any velodrome is faster than the road.
