Photo submitted by Thanyavi Chinsuwan , “We were recently on a cycling holiday in Japan. I took this photo and I hope it’s worthy of Pic Of The Day section. In the photo attached is my friend descending on a road called Zao Echo Line which is a mountain pass that goes over Mt. Zao and connects Miyagi Prefecture and Yamagata Prefecture in Northeastern region of Japan. On the higher part of the pass, the road really opens into a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and it feels as if you’re riding on the skyline. The fact that the road is insanely smooth like a glass surface is a big bonus, too.”
