Photo submitted by David Clarkson, “Believe it or not, this is between Tucson and the Mexican border last week. I ended up camping at about 5500 feet while doing the Sky Island West Loop the day after a freak snowstorm hit. Never one to let common sense get in the way of a good adventure, I continued on after the roads disappeared under the snow. Note that my bike is standing on its own, because the snow is so deep…had to dig a place out to pitch my tent. Never thought the coldest night I’d ever camp would be in Southern Arizona!”
