bikerumor pic of the day to celebrate Global Fat Bike Day

Photo submitted by Steven Hoover, “taken by George Stewart on December 8th in Gambrill State Park, we had a ride planned for the 7th to celebrate Global Fat Bike Day but postponed it because of rain. We were rewarded by some good snow, perfect conditions for fat bikes. We had 8 full fats , 3 half fats and two no fats.”

We always love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

Maybe this is obvious, but what is a “half-fat”? 29+ tires?

Greg,
Half fat is usually skinny in the back, fat in front. Sorta like a reverse mullet.

Why a Global Fat Bike day? As with other Global Days we need to raise awareness of fatbikes as they are being discriminated, the owners feel emancipated, we need to raise funds to cure it..?

Im holding back untill there is a Global 27,5″ Wheel day. Cuz that’s the future!

I am assuming that half fat means a fatbike fork with a fat tire on the front of a regular mtn bike

My fatbike went on Jenny Craig

Fat bikes are for people who want attention.
