bikerumor pic of the day Upper Bidwell park, Chico CA

Photo submitted by Mark Norstad, “This was last month at Paul Component’s 25th Anniversary ride. That’s me and my daughter Natalie in Upper Bidwell Park, Chico CA. The bike is Natalie’s, a titanium Willits from 1997. This is one of the last 26″ bikes that Wes Williams built before he switched to 29″ wheels. Fun ride, nice scenery, and Paul and his crew put on a great spread after the ride.”

Very cool! I used to live in Paradise as a kid. I’ve always wanted to get back and ride in the area. I could even bring my Retrotec for a more ‘authentic’ experience.

Cool, nice pic! I’m from Chico and love to ride upper park when I’m visiting. I live in Austin now and occasionally ride with Wes. What a neat character.

Wunnspeed, I used to work for Gary Seals doing sound back in the mid to late 90’s. Although I’ve never ridden one on the trail, I always enjoyed the curves of the Retrotecs. They’re still pretty sexy bikes.
