BRUMOTTI IN MANILA

We just saw Danny MacAskill ripping it up his latest video, Cascadia, and now Vittorio Brumotti brings us this gem. Using the urban streets of this Philippine bay side city as his canvas, Brumotti sets the road bike bar higher than ever. We also scored an unedited video of Vittorio climbing the most leg…. and shoulder searing hill ever!

Bounce past the break for to see some sweet trials action on skinnies…..

A beautifully done video with better than life music will make you want to hop a curb on your next road ride!

How long do you think your legs arms would last on this insane climb?

BOOM!

Totally love it and this sort of skill blows me away (though not so much climbing… as hopping up a climb).

Also makes me giggle just that little bit, watching this and thinking that most of the MAMILs I see in Sydney, on their 12k road bikes, have a massively hard time getting themselves around a hairpin bend on a bike path…

Joking aside though the guy is doing some cool stunts at times. Was sorry to see he got jumped by some pr*cks in August.

I still don’t get the point of riding trials on a road bike. Why? Sure, it can be done, it was proven a long time ago… now get on a proper trials bike! Trials on a road bike just looks stupid (not discounting Luca’s skills, just his bike choice)!

@Will, you say it looks stupid, thousands of other people think it’s pretty amazing.

@Will – I’m with you. This guy’s skills are incredible, but this is like watching a master carpenter pound nails with a pair of pliers. Sure, it’s impressive, sort of, in a way, but I’d rather see what he could do with the proper tool for the job.

I feel like Tinkov uses this guy to undermine Sagan.

Does this guy ever tired? Amazing execution, I can’t believe that he can stay that consistent for that length of time. Clearly he owns HTFU.

I wonder who did the following up the climb? Anyhow, I don’t see the fuss. He’s making challenging things even harder, that’s awesome!!! Cyclocross has done this by mandating skinny tires when riders would often race much faster with fatter tires depending on the terrain. Why have bicycle trials AND moto trials? They’re just different. Why race a mountain bike when you can just go faster and race a road bike? It’s just different

I want to see the opposite of this video, someone riding a trials bike in the tour.

Clearly this guy didn’t get the memo that disc brakes are what we all need on our road bikes.

How does he do that without disc brakes on a road bike? That’s amazing braking power! Sarcasm.

Come on BR, do a little research 😉 The hardest climb ever would be his climb of the stairs of the Burj Khalifa in 2012. No joke.
