Cadel Evans cleared for Olympic TT

After slipping during a post-Tour party (officially, post-Tour “dinner”) and injuring his knee, Evans has been cleared to compete in the Olympic Time Trial. Team officials say he will be racing the road race, and they will decide after that event if he’ll take a newly-available second spot for the Australian team in the Time Trial. The men’s cycling road race is scheduled for Aug. 9 and the time trial for Aug. 13.
