More and more bike brands create their own branded component and wheel offerings. It’s essentially a way to keep more of the profit internal vs. paying 3rd party component suppliers. But often also means that buyers can get more bang for their buck. That seems to be exactly what Canyon is doing here, still offering both entry-level alloy wheels and top-tier carbon wheelsets from supplier partner DT Swiss.

But now it the middle, Canyon-branded wheels provide a cheaper upgrade to carbon.

1525g for that spec can not be JUST!
That is at least 150g too heavy with dt350 hubs. I have a set of MTB wheels which are under 1400g with the same hubs in boost spacing.

Anyone who buys anything from Canyon should exercise caution, especially if you are in the USA. A lack of spare parts will bite you if you ever need them. Ask me how I know..
