Car Free in NYC

Imagine NYC streets with no cars and people wandering, riding, skating, dancing and hopping along…or go there.  This past Saturday from 7am to 1pm, the NYC DOT opened 7 miles of city streets to pedestrians and bike traffic only, from 72nd Street to the Brooklyn Bridge along Park Avenue.

If you missed it on August 9, mark you calendars to get your bike out there on August 16th, and 23rd.  The more the better to show that cities can work even with limited car usage.
