With Vincenzo Nibali having just wrapped up the 101st Tour de France over the weekend, here’s a unique way to celebrate the Grand Tour champions with artwork from Johnny Joannou of On a Sixpence, with just a hint of a geek sensibility. Each print includes a short story about the race and key information on each tour win using the iconic periodic table style.

Roll on past the break for details, more images, and the other grand tours…

The prints are issued in a limited edition, signed and dated by the artist. Prints can even be personalized to include an additional cell for a super fan. Each poster is a high quality fine art digital print, on a luxurious heavyweight coated paper. The print size of the image is available in two sizes; 30x40cm or 40x50cm, for £60 and £79 respectively, plus £10 shipping to either the US or EU.

In addition to the Tour, posters are available for the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a España. The prints are always kept up to date, so the newest Giro poster also includes this spring’s 2014 winner Nairo Quintana.

Prints are delivered worldwide rolled in a postal tube (unframed and not mounted.) As each print is made individually, the artist aims to deliver within 5 working days. And as each image is individually printed, every print is unique. Get in touch with On a Sixpence and order directly from their website.

The artist seems a bit confused as to who the recent winners are.

Hi, the recent winners, including Vincenzo Nibali, are included in the new editions. I will be updating the photo once my father lets me borrow his lovely bike!

He appears to sell a Lance and a no Lance version. I guess that should keep everybody happy but somehow I doubt it.
