But now the lightweight cycling computer mount with its removable bike bell is ready to ship out – all made in the Netherlands, so you can announce your presence on the bike path, before proper racing returns later this year.
HideMyBell RaceDay SL bike bell + carbon out-front GPS mount
The basic idea in this latest version of the HideMyBell computer mount is the same – tuck a small bike bell under an out-front style GPS cycling computer mount – allowing you to alert other road/path users to your approach while tracking your rides. But CloseTheGap knows that cyclists racing road don’t want a bell inside the peloton. So, the new RaceDay SL was developed to make the bell an easy-to-remove attachment, keeping the GPS mount in place. In just a couple of tool-free seconds, you go from road training & commuter-mode to raceday race-mode. Add in the fact that it is made in Europe from carbon fiber to send the weight weenie roadies over the edge.
RaceDay SL – Tech details
The RaceDay SL GPS mount is constructed from light & stiff pressure-molded UD carbon fiber in Zwolle, in the Netherlands.
It comes in two variants – the standard, interlocking-hinged RaceDay SL for use with 31.8mm bars, and a universal-fit RaceDay Fi that mounts to the most common interfaces under one-piece bar+stem cockpits (including Canyon, Ritchey, FSA, Syncros, Most, Pro, Vision & more).
An injection molded bracket snaps the anodized alloy bell into the bottom of the carbon mounting bracket. And because of its removable & symmetric design, users can now pick whether the plastic clapper sits on the right or left of your cycling computer.
There’s even a thread-in accessory mount (or bolt-on for the Fi) that accepts a GoPro style mount or a universal bracket to hang a light or action-cam behind the bell. The carbon mounting bracket also uses a universal fit interface to easily swap between the included adapters for Garmin, Wahoo, Bryton, and Lezyne computers. An optional Polar mount is available separately.

The whole HideMyBell RaceDay setup is lighter than ever, a claimed 27g for the carbon mount alone, or 38g for the GPS mount with the bell installed (1g less for the Fi version).
