Kitsbow has partnered with Polartec to launch the Alpha Snap Jacket. While not cycling specific, it looks versatile enough for commuting to the mild winter mountain bike ride.

It’s built with the usual top shelf fabrics the brand is known for (and a price to match…$389 for the top), with the piece named after the Polartec Alpha insulation originally developed for the armed forces. The body is Pertex, a durable but breathable fabric made specifically for outdoorsy garments, with Schoeller 3XDRY panels on the sides and forearms for flexibility.

It comes in Serpentine and Dark Titanium colors and, per their suggestion, pairs great with their recently introduced Power Wool base layer.

RETRO IMAGE APPAREL

Retro Image Apparel has lit up their business with the new High Road cycling collection. The first six jerseys are Purple Haze, Sour Diesel, OG Kush, Blue Dream, Train Wreck, and Strawberry Cough. The collection includes traditional full-zip jerseys and tech tees, both available in short and/or long sleeve versions. Of course, their disclaimer says they’re not advocating the use of quasi-legal substances, just that they want you to be able to express your own interests as you ride along.

Fresh Bikes

Hooked on Candy Crush between rides? Fresh Bikes bike shop has the fix for your digital sweet tooth with their new custom kit. Printed by Giordana, they utilize seemingly every possible trademarked and proprietary fabric and design feature the clothing brand offers for a carbon-infused, ergonomic and energy saving feature in the bib short and jersey. Check them out and get your kit for $167.99 per piece while supplies last (sale price, so may vary if you doddle). Sweet!

Pavé Apparel

Pavé is a line of apparel for relaxing aprés ride started by cyclist Whit Olivier in Asheville, NC. He’s got Kiel Reijnen of the United Healthcare Pro Cycling Team and Alex Howes of Team Cannondale-Garmin on board as brand ambassadors. After all, if you wanna know if something’s lounge worthy after a hard ride, might as well get some folks that know how to ride hard.

…and the Track Pant.

Check them out at PaveBetweenRides.com for more on their story and some pre-order specials. They’re doing a crowdfunding startup, but not the typical KS or IGG program, so all of the offers are right on their website.

Chewy: not really… $120 for a ride T-Shirt is not cheap. products are all questionable until you actually start wearing the clothing. ill pass on everything here.

@Myke – I dunno, that Candy Crush kit from Fresh Bikes looks like a great deal – especially when compared to their $1000 tune up!

@myke: That’s like saying there is absolutely no difference–none at all–between a Motorola Star-Tac and an iPhone 6+.

Turbo your comment makes absolutely no sense in this this comparison. Tech products innovations move fast! Not so much in the garment industry. If you have spent anytime riding you would know price isn’t always a indicator of quality! And you won’t know that until you use it and abuse it. That is just plan fact! So yes $120 riding t-shirt vs say a $80 which is still very is questionable in mountain biking. Also notice I said t-shirt not jersey! I don’t know anyone who makes a $80 t-shirt!
