Back during this summer’s Tour de France, Deda Elementi debuted an ultra-limited ‘Go Tadej’ edition of their one-piece carbon Alanera handlebar & stem cockpit as a fundraiser for the cancer research of the Tadej Pogačar Foundation and a little motivation to Pogačar himself. Now, just one of the rare bars is becoming available, and it’s on the auction block to raise money for a good cause…

Whether it’s a serious fan of the 2020 & 2021 yellow jersey winner and 3-stage winner in 2022… or just a cyclist looking to support a worthy charity with the purchase of an already-premium component, this Go Tadej ltd Alanera bar is a rare one. Deda says just 3 of the custom painted bars were made based on Pogačar’s Colnago Prototipo race bike. 1 for Tadej at le Tour that is now in Deda’s showroom. This 1 bar being auctioned via Memorabid to raise money to support the Tadej Pogačar Foundation’s ongoing cancer research. And the 1 remaining bar which will be used in a future fundraiser to benefit Pogačar’s foundation.

The design was created with 2BROS Creative mixing key TdF elements like Alpe d’Huez’s hairpins, the Arc de Triomphe & Pogačar himself.

But the Deda Go Tadej Alanera bar is unique beyond the paint job too. It’s a custom long stem, narrow bar version that Pogačar personally requested – 120mm x 40cm – a size that isn’t currently offered by Deda for the Alanera, but will be starting in January. The 350g full UD carbon bar has a -8° effective stem angle, 75mm reach, 130mm drop, and includes an aero top cap & out-front GPS mount.

The standard bar retails for 950€ (including VAT) and is compatible with fully internal electronic-shift & hydraulic brake routing.

This one remaining Go Tadej edition Alanera bar is being offered for auction on Memorabid – a European platform for sports memorabilia & experiences. Memorabid has waived their standard commission, so all funds raised will go directly to the Tadej Pogačar Foundation to support their ongoing research into treatment & cures for cancer sufferers. The auction runs now through the end of September. Place your bid at:

I don’t know much about the Alanera handlebar, but I love the design. The faceting and crisp corners are really cool looking compared to the sea of used soap aero designs.
