cSixx is the brainchild if former Leatt employee Mark Hopkins. He’s been making various carbon/kevlar chain guides and bash guards for a few years but has now added lighter, simpler versions for 1x drivetrains.
The new XC guide has high and low direct mount and seat tube mount single chainring guides. They call it an insurance policy for XX1. There are rubber covered alloy spacers top and bottom to keep chain slap noise to a minimum. Different shim sizes go between the guide and back plate to let you fine tune the position to match your chain line.
Weights range from 40g to 75g, with the seat tube clamp model being the heaviest, but also the most versatile. The backplate can be rotated 180° to become a low mount, or flip it and it gives you a more forward position if your frame needs it. The clamp is one half alloy, one half carbon.
Retail is $70 to $100, and One Ghost is carrying them for the US at the moment.
The Super Single Series is a lower price option with alloy clamps and backplanes and composite guides
They’ve also just developed wide/narrow chainrings in 32/34/36/38 tooth counts with 104BCD. They have a slightly different tooth profile to reduce chain and tooth wear, particularly if you’re spending most of your time riding the fringes of the cassette.
