In addition to a broader new range mountain bike stems and bars, Pro also adds more to the road with new bars and wheels. The great performing, high-value PLT alloy cockpit group gets an update with new seatpost, bar, and stem designs. Pro also updates their aero carbon bar, stem, and wheels mostly with much more subtle graphics treatments. Slide on past the fold for more details and availability…

The redesigned PLT seatpost gets an update forged head design with a reworked 1-bolt clamp for quick and secure adjustments. The PLT stem looks to keep the same forged shape, but the faceplate is updated to a piece design for better, more even clamping. The current range of alloy PLT bars look to carry over, and are joined by a new Compact Ergo version that adds shaped tops for a more comfortable perch on the bars to the standard short reach and drop round bars. The compact and compact ergo bars also expand to offer a huge 36-46cm range of widths for 2016.

The UCI-legal Missile Evo carbon aerobar includes full internal shift and brake routing, especially optimized for Di2 setups at just 124g. Pro toned down the graphics for 2016 with more subtle black on black logos.

The PRO aero wheels also get a more subdued look. From 3 and 5-spoke wheels for the track and road to full on disc wheels in clincher and tubular varieties.

Like the parts on the mountain side, pricing is not yet ready, and after talking with Shimano it may be a couple of weeks until it comes out. But all go the new products will be available through regular retail channels by the end of November 2015.

The PLT line does look nicer in this finish over the previous, but I found the line used to be a way nicer with the ice grey finish from like 2010.

Was also hoping the Stealth EVO line would see an update, or if the brand would introduce a non-integrated aero drop bar.
