The Schwalbe X-One Allround cyclocross tire, which we reviewed last season, gets a new tan skinwall option. It’s a tube-type, Performance level tire. They say the tan sidewall material doesn’t work with their tubeless sidewall materials, because then it would be black, so they don’t get the tubeless bead either. Meaning, you really shouldn’t try to set these up tubeless. But they look sweet. It’ll come in a 700×33 size, weight is 330g.
The new X-One Speed is a new semislick, dry conditions option for cyclocross. It, too, only comes in a 700×33, and uses a file tread center with larger but still shallow tread strips angled off to the sides.
Claimed weight is 350g for the tube type (Performance Line, 67tpi, dual compound rubber) and 370g for the Tubeless Easy (Evolution Line, 127tpi, OneStar triple compound). Retail is $79 each.
The G-One Bite is a new version of the G-One Allround that offers more traction thanks to taller knobs. It’ll comes in 700×40 and 27.5×2.1, giving gravel racers another option regardless of wheel size.
It’ll only be offered in Evolution construction, meaning OneStar triple rubber compound, 127tpi, and Tubeless Easy readiness.
For their mountain bike tires, All Performance level MTB tires will now be tubeless ready. It adds about 30-60g depending on tire size, but you’ll save a lot of weight from the tubes. The Magic Mary, shown 3rd from right, now comes in 27.5 x 2.6 and 2.8 widths, and Ice Spiker Pro (on left) gets a new 27.5×2.6 option.
