Guee’s booth was a pleasant surprise, housing four unique accessories that add both functionality and flair to you and your ride. The most colorful was their graphical handlebar tape that transitions to solid, and each option matches a pair of socks they offer, too.
Their SL Bar Tape leans toward the thin side, but does have some cushioning and a grippy, sweatproof outer layer. Sandwiched inside the material is a tensioned webbing so it won’t stretch too much, helping you get an evenly wrapped bar. They retail for $33.95 per set, and the socks are $14.90 per pair.
The fade-to-white colors from Eurobike aren’t all showing up on their website yet, but there’s still plenty of options if you want the top half to be black.
Their Smart Bike Mount takes an idea I’ve had for more than five years and finally makes it real. The out-front GPS cycling computer mount has an integrated LED front light with multiple blinking patterns and a nice side marker light.
The power button is all but invisible on the back of the machined aluminum body. Weight is 85g and the light puts out 50 lumens. The lower mount uses a standard GoPro-style camera or light mount, and the upper can be ordered with a Garmin/Wahoo, Sigma or Cateye computer mount. Retail is $59.95.
Their water bottle cage has a built-in tire lever, hiding an essential in a usually wasted space. The nylon cage on its own is 18g (claimed) and retails for $26.95 (lever and bolts included). Check out the rest of their goods at Guee-Intl.com.
Sharing the booth was Capgo, who offers these foam hose and housing insulators to prevent rattling noise when they’re run inside your frame. Word is they’re getting some OEM business, too, and something similar (maybe these?) is used inside the Bold Unplugged enduro bike. The best part? A 2m set is just €6,95. Technically available distributed in Europe, there are plenty of online retailers offering them that might ship elsewhere.
