Echelon Gran Fondos has just announced their newest option. The Echelon CyclocrossMountain adds a dirty alternative to their Mt. Hood, OR, Gran Fondo this fall.
Running simultaneously with their road GF, everyone starts together. At about mile 9 or 10, the cyclocross and mountain bike riders split off for a 60-mile on/off road randoneur style singletrack/dirt road/pavement ride.
Echelon founder Hunter Ziesing says “Look for some great surprises in the woods…there are a lot of things we can do in the woods that we can’t do on the road course. I’m really excited about this as it opens up our Gran Fondo experience to more riders and offers something totally unique.”
Keep an eye out here next week. Bikerumor’s got one free entry to each of the remaining four Echelon events this year to give away, first one goes up for grabs next week…
