Ergon’s team gravity athletes are running the new GDH Team grips, which feature a softer, SGS-certified GravityControl rubber on their multi-textured surface.
Palms rest on swirled contact pad, and fingers pull on a ridged zone on the bottom. The rest is covered in a diamond texture. It’s the same pattern and shape as their non-Team GDH grips, so the real secret sauce for these is the new rubber compound.
The ultrasoft rubber is made in Germany and offers more vibration damping and better control. They also offer better cushioning, helping you stay fresher on longer, rougher runs. It’s the softest rubber they offer, meant for race day, so may not last as long as their other grips, but should feel amazing while it lasts.
They’re contoured to fit your hands better than a flat round grip, and the inside edge has a slight flange to provide a tactile guide to hand placement.
They’ve tested it with top pros, including UCI world champions like Henri Kiefer, Valentina Höll, and Fabien Barel.
“I’ve been dreaming of a grip like the GDH,” said Troy Brosnan, eight-time Australian champion. “It works perfectly in both dry and wet conditions. Together with Ergon, we have succeeded in developing what I believe is currently the best downhill grip on the marketwith second-to-none comfort.”
