It was only a couple of weeks ago that we reported on upgrades to Feedback Sports’ most budget-friendly work stand model, the Sport Mechanic 2.0. It seems the team at the Golden, Colorado-based brand has been busy, because they just announced an updated version of their lightest and most travel-friendly repair stand, the Ultralight.

Now known as the Pro Ultralight Repair Stand, it maintains its position as the lightest and most compact in the brand’s lineup. The “Pro” updates include a slightly higher maximum weight limit, an upgraded Spinner Knob and Slide-Lock clamp, a stronger clamp arm clutch body, and an included travel bag.

Pro Ultralight Repair Stand Details

The Pro Ultralight is among the lightest work stands on the market, with a claimed weight of just 10.8 pounds. That’s a tiny bit heavier than the existing Ultralight stand, but it’s worth pointing out that the maximum weight limit has also increased by 10 pounds, up to 85 pounds. Additionally, Feedback has beefed up the rotational holding strength of the 360-degree rotating clamp arm with new clutch internals.

One of the most notable upgrades is the new clamp jaw spinner knob. It appears to be the same as the knobs on the brand’s higher-end models, like the Pro Mechanic, and should be a big step up in terms of ease of use compared to the smaller rubber knob on the outgoing model. The rubber-coated clamp jaws won’t mark up your bikes and open up to 1.9” wide to accommodate larger tubes.

The stand is made from lightweight and corrosion-resistant 6063 T6 aluminum and features durable metal hardware and sturdy quick-release levers. It has a tripod base with a stance width of 54” (diameter) for stability. The clamp height range is 34” to 57.5”, which is 10” less than some of the brand’s other models. However, that reduction in clamp height helps keep the folded dimensions more compact and transport-friendly at 5” x 6.5” x 38” (13 x 16.3 x 96.5 cm). Plus, it comes with a padded, protective bag for easier storage and travel.

Looks great. I don’t have a Feedback stand, but I can say that their travel bags are astoundingly well made (and work great on road trips for my 25 year old Park stand).
