Snyder Cycles track bike fixed gear bicycle made in Atlanta GeorgiaAmong the big brands at the SE Bike Expo, a few small builders were showing off their wares. Based in Atlanta, Snyder Bicycles fits snugly between the small, boutique handmade builders and the large, outsourced, mass produced brands. They offer a road, cyclocross and track bike frames made with True Temper steel tubes, and they’re all manufactured right in Atlanta, GA.

Besides claiming made-in-USA status, the bikes are what could be considered semi-custom. They’re available in a wide range of sizes from 50 to 61 in single centimeter increments. Combine those 12 available frame sizes with any stem length and two seatpost set back options and you’ve got a really good chance of getting something that fits like a glove without going to full custom.

Their bikes are offered as frames only for $1,300 or as a frameset with ENVE fork, Chris King headset, Thomson seatpost, clamp and stem. Cross bikes get a  Tange steel disc brake fork. Complete bikes are also available with several build kits. The bikes roll on handbuilt custom wheels, too, all done in house.

If you’re in the Atlanta area, check out their 2012 kickoff party this Saturday, March 3, from 5p – 10p. Address is on their website, and they’ll have a general open house Sunday and Monday from 2p -6p. Click through for pics and more…

Paint schemes are simple and classic. Not shown are the wheels. They’ve got a pretty slick drop-down based wheel builder that lets you select from a range of brands for hub, spokes and rims to get just what you want, then come with free truing and spoke replacements for life.
