Van Heesch has plumbed the metallurgical rainbow for his collection of mixte bicycles.
Above, the copper plated steel bike uses a classic Dutch style step through frame. It’s made in the Netherlands and has virtually every metal part plated in copper, from the seat’s springs to the fenders to the chain. Yes, even the chain.

Being copper, the bike will take on it’s own tarnish and character over the years. It includes a matching copper plated bell and leather grips and saddle covering. It also includes handling gloves, a velvet bag and a copper chain lock. Available through Anthropologie for a mere $6,000.
The zinc plated one could very well be the most theft proof by blending alongside road fixtures.
Perhaps brass toots your horn?
