Fresh Cycling Clothing from Zoic, Descente and Jett

For 2013, Zoic’s added quite a bit of casual style cycling clothing with shirts that are a definite nod to Club Ride’s western aesthetic and technical shorts that look even more technical (and bad arse) than this year’s offerings.

The Antidote will get some updated (larger) plaids.

These new ones come in white, black and gray also, are super lightweight and have a perforated stretch panel along the sides. I tried my best to walk away with a pair of these orange ones, but they were the only sales samples. Very much want, and they come with a new premium padded liner. Inseam is about 1.5″ longer than the Antidote, so shorter riders might need to look elsewhere.

New fall weather long sleeve shirts aren’t too thick and aren’t too thin, making them a good layering piece. Sleeves have sewn-in liners over the forearms to keep the wind out even if you roll them up a bit. Rear pockets have zips and reflective bits, with another reflective strip in the center/back of the collar.

Their cycling pants use the same lightweight material as their knickers, which I like, and like most of their shorts, have a built in lens cleaning cloth (dangling out of lower side pocket in right image). The drape while on the hanger doesn’t flatter it, but they look good. Legs roll up to reveal reflective material.

The women’s line looked really good, too, mirroring the men’s stuff enough to keep a coherent brand appearance but unique enough to see Zoic put some thought into the pieces.

Jett’s Raptor jersey and short (left) get revamped. Jersey gets a full zip and loses the mesh side panels to make it more of an all season piece rather than just summer. The shorts get a slight tweak to the pattern with a bit more pre-curve to the legs. Logo is now TPU instead of embroidered. $145 shorts with liner, $80 jersey.

On the right is a new waterproof soft shell jacket with oversized hood to fit over a helmet. Retail is $150.

Custom program is new, with garments are made in Europe.

Descente is coming back into the US after former importer Veltech went away. It’ll be high end custom only with different fit and style options and low 15-piece minimums.
