- Timbuk2 will launch one of San Francisco’s first Bike Share programs on April 25th. The program will be based out of their Hayes Valley retail store with a bike, helmet, map, and Timbuk2 bag available for lending to all guests and travelers during retail hours.
- Specialized Factory Team Rider and National Cyclocross Champion Todd Wells has put his 2010 National Cyclocross Championship winning Specialized Crux, and his team and National Champion jerseys from the 2010 Cross Season up for auction on eBay to raise money for Japan’s earthquake victims. The bike and the jerseys have all been signed by Todd, and 100% of the proceeds from the auction will go to the American Red Cross to help in the relief efforts.
- i-ride.co.uk, the UK distributor for Eddy Merckx Cycles has announced a major new event: The Gran Fondo Eddy Merckx. Held July 31st at an as yet-to-be announced Somerset venue, it will be the first Euro style Gran Fondo event to be held in the UK, and will have a limited field of 1000 riders. The event will also form part of the Eddy Merckx Cycles ‘Ride With Eddy’ campaign. Eddy will ride the event as well as be on site all weekend.
