Where to Ride (& Train!)

  • Breakthrough in a Mallorca training camp with Xert – We’ve looked at several of the Xert & Baron Biosystems technologies to help improve and ease your training in the past. They’ve developed some great solutions to more simply benefit from the huge wealth of data collected in power meter training. But why not take it one step further and just spend a week with them in Mallorca. • Rapha says Riding is the Answer – We’re not entirely sure what the question is, but kind of OK with riding being the answer. Bikes transform lives, they make us feel good. Go ride your bike. And hunt down a link to Rapha’s website if you feel included to buy something fancy to wear.

  • Dorel sells clothing brands Sugoi & Sombrio to Louis Garneau – No more will bike brands Cannondale, GT, Schwinn, Mongoose & Charge have to compete with clothing companies for product development attention. Bicycle Retailer reports that the big bike parent brand is “exiting the performance apparel business to focus on bikes, parts, accessories and electric ride-ons.” DorelsSports.com Garneau sees it as a big step in the second generation of the family-owned, Canadian company, giving the brand a broader reach and a lot of development potential going forward. • Watch out for fake Sidi online deals too good to be true – Apparently a bunch of fraudulent sites have started popping up offering mouth-watering deals on Sidi shoes. The actual Italian shoe maker wants to remind cyclists to “exercise extreme caution when considering offers that may appear on websites and social media, and to carefully verify the validity of the source before proceeding with a purchase”. “Remember that Sidi products are only available in the best bike shops or online exclusively through authorized websites.” Check out Sidi’s dealer list to be sure, and feel free to report any shading dealings you see to your local distributors. Gear & Special Deals

  • Sweet Deals up to 50% off on Sweet Protection gear – Sure most of the deals are end of cold weather season stuff on Sweet Protection’s winter sports gear. But there’s some cycling kit and even a helmet too. Plus the snow sports gear looks great too. SweetProtection.com
