Funn has added a 31mm diameter MTB grip to the now five strong roster, with an under palm reinforced comfort zone designed to absorb vibrations and keep fatigue to a minimum. The single lock-on design is available in 10 colors, one of which is likely to match well with whatever jewelry your bike is currently rocking.
Funn Holeshot Grips
The new Funn Holeshot MTB Grip gets an aggressive-looking triple-rib throttle design, made up of a new rubber compound described as a little firmer than the rubber seen on previous Funn grips such as the 30mm diameter Hilt grip. Funn say the deep, plush compound absorbs vibrations and reduces fatigue whilst the unique grip pattern keeps you locked-in whatever the weather.
A key feature of the Holeshot is the triple-rib design. In the above image, on grips 1, 2, and 10 (numbered from left to right) – you can see that the outboard portion of the grip looks thicker at a certain angle. This is one of three “ribs”, or elongated protrusions that provide additional purchase for your fingers to wrap around.
At the outboard edge, the rubber is hardened in a bid to reduce wear at the point that usually suffers the most abuse during a crash. Fundamentally, the Funn Holeshot grip is of a plastic sleeve design, with a single clamp at the inboard end. It is an AL6061 clamp with an M4 bolt.
