Let’s be honest. This product is not for the average cyclist. In fact, it’s specifically labeled as “Training for the Elite,” though in this case, that has a bit of a double meaning. That’s because the Fuoripista Bike is the latest product from Elite that’s also for the elite.
Completely removed from your average stationary bike, the Fuoripista Bike is the artistic vision of Adriano Design. Meant to “combine sculptural and architectural beauty with remarkable functionality,” the goal was to create a stationary bike that would look right at home in the center of your mansion, corner office, etc.
To make sure the bike stands out while also camouflaging the fact that it’s a cycling trainer, the Fuoripista is made from wood, glass, and high polished aluminum, with Brooks leather thrown in for good measure. The bike includes an adjustable seat post height with a hidden clamp, and an adjustable handlebar position to help dial in the fit.
In addition to the visually striking design, the Fuoripista is also quite technologically advanced with an integrated pwoermeter with +/-2.5% accuracy and built in “virtual shifters” which increase or decrease the resistance of the silky smooth (and silent) ride. You can either ride it in stand alone mode, or connect it to Zwift or any other virtual training program (like the included 36 month E-Training program) with the ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart connections, plus FE-C, PWR, and S&C. And to ensure that there are no wires to mess with your Feng Shui, the whole trainer runs on a rechargeable lithium ion battery.
Like most products aimed at the elite, if you have to ask the price, well… We’re told that you can expect to spend 12-14k€ on the Fuoripista, which would put it in the realm of $14,000 to nearly $16,500 depending on the options. But if you’re trying to find a statement piece for your home or office that also doubles as a stationary bike, you’d be hard pressed to find a more striking design.
