Press Release Cont’d:
As one of only 12 supported all-women’s rides in the U.S., Venus de Miles is a unique experience. Both tenured riders and new cyclists will be coming together to enjoy the day. The ride encourages women to have fun and not leave their femininity at home – you’ll see tutus, tiaras, and an on-course mechanical support team featuring men in skirts and wigs.
This year, riders can choose from three courses (35 miles, 50 miles, 65 miles) – all meandering through the beautiful Boulder foothills. All courses start and finish at Prospect Park in Longmont. The celebration continues after the ride with a festival featuring the band Girls on Top!; a “Wellness Station” with mini spa treatments, after-ride care, yoga and acupuncture; a delicious lunch; New Belgium beer; and games and events to entertain the whole family.
