Gulo launched their brand with unique, woven carbon fiber spokes on two sets of wheels: Enduro mountain bike, and a lightweight, shallow “SL” gravel set.

Now, they’ve added a deeper GGA-38 (Gravel Aero) set, and a wider lightweight GGA-SL (Gravel Adventure) set, giving racers a more capable wheelset no matter their goals.

The original GGX wheelset used a 22mm internal width, but they knew that wouldn’t cut it as riders kept putting wider tires on their gravel adventure bikes. What’s wild is that the new GGA-SL wheels bump that to 25mm internal width, yet drop grams in the process. They’re about 25g lighter, coming in at a claimed 1,249g for the complete wheelset, making them some of the lightest gravel bike wheels on the market.

They measure 30mm wide externally, and are just 23mm deep. That’s with 24 of their G1 carbon spokes, Centerlock brake rotor mounts, and a hookless tubeless carbon fiber rim. They’re designed for tires ranging from 28-50mm wide and come with a lifetime warranty. MSRP is $2,575.00.

Even with their own flange design, those Bitex hubs are pretty lackluster for a wheel set like this.
