Following in the footsteps of their first bike, the ALFA, Allied Cycle Works will show off the full custom carbon fiber ECHO frameset at NAHBS this weekend. At 800g for size 56 (claimed), it’s very light for a full custom tube-to-tube bike that lets you choose the geometry. That’s particularly impressive considering their stock geometry ALFA comes in at a claimed 875g for the same size. It’s also relatively affordable, coming in at $3,800 for the frameset, which includes their 340g full carbon fork. The icing on the cake? They’re guaranteeing it’ll be delivered within 60 days of finalizing your geometry.
The ECHO is made with American-sourced Mitsubishi MR60H intermediate modulus and HR40 high modulus carbon fiber, starting out as eight custom cut and mitered tubes before it gets joined and wrapped into a complete frame.
There’s clearance for up to 700×28 tires
It’s compatible with any cable routing…mechanical or electronic. Or, of course, wireless. Price includes a naked clear coat, but you can customize the paint if you don’t mind waiting a bit longer.
You can also run it through their custom configurator to build it into a complete bike. Like the ALFA, the frame will be 100% made in house in their Little Rock, Arkansas, facility.
