The new Rolf Prima Rage mountain bike wheels give them a wider, tougher wheel for the enduro crowd, and an XR version of it and the Ralos provide an option budget conscious rider.
The Rage series is a burlier all-mountain wheel with a 29mm wide tubeless compatible alloy rim. Internal width is 25mm. The standard Rage is the higher end model and gets a US-made White Industries hubset with 4130 hardened chromoly axle. The Rage XR uses Rolf’s sealed cartridge bearing XR hubs with an alloy axle and are a bit heavier. Both versions are interchangeable between QR/15 thru front and QR135/12×142 thru rear. They’ll come with one end cap for each, the others are available aftermarket. Both use 24/24 Sapim spokes and include tubeless rim tape and valve stems. Retail is $899 for the Rage and $649 for the Rage XR.
The Ralos XR uses the same XR hubs with same axle options. That brings the price down to $649. The rim is the same 24.5mm wide rim (21mm internal) as the standard Ralos.
The Rage wheels are available in 27.5″ and 29er, and the standard and XR Ralos still come in a 26″ size. The carbon rimmed Ralos CXC is 29er only. All are available now.

- Rage – 1820g (27.5″) and 1860g (29er)
- Ralos XR – 1570g (26″)*, 1670g (27.5″) and 1695g (29er)
* the 26″ Ralos XR uses a lighter gauge spoke, hence the abnormal weight difference.
