As the sister company of Borealis Bikes, Turnagain components is quickly filling out the line with fat bike specific parts. After introducing their 100mm rim at Eurobike, Turnagain had some late arrivals at Interbike that included an all new 65mm rim width, plus a revised version of their first product, the FR80. Along with the rims, Turnagain is eying a completely new product category and if involves the use of Yaks.

Full details next…

Shown as prototypes at the show, Turnagain expects both the FR65 and FR80 to available later this winter. Built as single wall aluminum rims with a pinned joint, the rims include their FTD or Fat Tubeless Design which makes them much better for setting up tubeless than the first FR80 design. Available in multiple colors, the symmetric only rims will have a similar price to their current FR rims.

If you can get past the mannequin’s dreamy eyes, Turnagain is contemplating a line of winter clothing but with a twist. The concept includes the use of a sustainable Yak/Merino wool blend to offer supreme comfort and turnagaincomponents.com

Living in Duluth, MN not really a shortage of fatties. At least 25 % of summer time bikers are on a fat bike. It’s a monster truck for biking seen people ride some ridiculous terrain.

@Im not fat
Have you ridden the superior hiking trail on a fatty? I’ve run portions, not sure how it would work out on the bike.

No shortage of fat bikes here in the Rockies. First ride of the season on mine this Saturday. 🙂 Love my fat bike. I started riding it sparingly and only on snow the first year I owned it, then branched out the second. Going into my third with a 29+ and a fat wheelset, I am riding it quite a lot more longer and longer before and after the snow flies. Good stuff.
