BikePortland.com ran a story about locals joining the Forest Park Conservancy in an effort to add bicycling voices to their constituency.  Their goal is to steer decisions in favor of more bike trails and access in Portland’s Forest Park.  The response was impressive, with lots of cyclists joining and providing more than half of the groups donations.
Just thought this was worth sharing…if you’re in a position of bike/trail advocacy and are looking for ways to increase buy-in from other groups or boost awareness of demand for improved cycling infrastructure among local politicians, it may be worth looking at other groups as ways to further the cause.
