Every time we cruised by the Chrome booth at Interbike earlier this month, the place was rammed with bag fetishists checking out the goods and enjoying the booth-top DJ.  That meant that we weren’t able to get our hands on the goods- but their PR Coordinator was good enough to send over the details on and pictures of some as-yet unreleased bags.  Click though for our picks…

Coming in early November, the Night Series Citizen (above) takes the urban favorite to the dark side with muted reflective hits.  All of the usual Citizen features- Chico, CA manufacture, signature buckle, EVA foam shoulder, integrated bottle opener, etc- are carried over from the standard model.  At $190 with a lifetime guarantee, not only does the black bag go with everything, it may well be the last messenger bag you’ll need.

The Citadel (right) is a bit of a departure for Chrome.  Coming in mid-March, the bag is their largest laptop bag and is oriented toward weekend travel.  A 3-sided zip should make gadget and reading material access easy and the roll-type top keeps its contents dry while adjusting for varying loads.  If its anything like the my Sultan, it’ll easily take on whatever regular air travel throws at it to earn its keep.  $190.
