ControlTech’s new TUX lineup has a full cockpit of fairly lightweight parts, including a 710mm carbon riser bar at just 169g and a forged/CNC’d stem at 125g. What caught our eye was the seatpost, which uses a loop of UD carbon fiber to provide a clean (and unique) aesthetic. The loop hides the dual bolts for the clamp, presenting a smooth, round surface that’s approved for road and mountain bike use.
It’s available only in a 31.6 diameter with 410mm length. Claimed weight is 192g with the included titanium bolts. 0mm offset only.
Their Ti-Mania line includes a 31.8 bore handlebar, which they claim is the “rigidest” thanks to double butted tubing and a 5º backsweep. Weight is 195g for the 600mm, a 660mm is also available.
The stem is 6/4 with ti bolts and a chiseled face plate (123g, 90mm, other lengths available) and the seatpost is 3/2.5 with 6/4 hardware and a carbon fiber lower saddle rail cradle. Weight is 190g for 27.2x350mm, also available in a 31.6. Not into all that much ti? No problem, the spacers come in 5/10/15mm heights and weigh from 2.3 to 7.3 grams.
The Carbon Comp Saddle uses a full carbon construction with a leaf spring design supporting the rear of the rails. Rails have stainless steel tubes to protect the clamp sections. Combine this with Ergon’s new leaf spring seatpost and you’ll be sittin’ pretty.
