Interbike Randomness – Syncros, Twenty6 Products & TwinSix

TwinSix had their usual array of pretty colors and kitschy/cool designs on display, but they were also showing brand new knicker shorts and women’s jerseys, too. Above, a few c0-branded jerseys and retro designs mix in with the classics.

Syncros and Twenty6 Products also had a few new components, some in colors to match all these flashy jerseys. Click on through to charm your peepers…

TwinSix’s new knicker shorts will come in black and khaki and look like they’ll just cover the knee, making them about the same length as Club Ride’s and a bit shorter than Chromes…we’re guessing.

SYNCROS

Syncros’ 29er carbon rigid fork gets a new 45mm offset option in a new black stealth colorway. This joins the original 38mm offset with white graphics. The models will keep the graphic colors separate, they won’t be mix-match options between offsets. Weight is 530g (26″) and 580g (29″) with a 300mm uncut steerer. The forks are full carbon, including the dropouts, with a monocoque crown/steerer. MSRP is $500.

Their FL carbon seatpost gets a new 15mm offset option. The clamps are 7075 alloy, available in 27.2, 30.9 and 31.6 diameters with 400mm length. Weight is 199g for the largest size. MSRP is $180 to $190.

TWENTY6 PRODUCTS

Twenty6 Products’ new Predator flat pedal builds on their Prerunner and adds a lot of nifty improvements that should make for better grip and less user grief.

The platform shape is more square with the outer pins placed all the way to the corners to reduce foot slippage. Shown in the top pic, the pins in the center section (near the axle) are slightly lower to give it a concave shape. The pins themselves are mounted on raised section to make them the primary contact point for the shoe, rather than have it rest mostly on the platform.

The pins themselves were completely redesigned, too. The base has a wider platform for most stability, and small circumferential grooves provide a shear point above the base. Twenty6 Products’ founder, Tyler Jarosz, says this prevents distortion of the threads upon impact or breakage, making them less likely to strip or get stuck.

They’re available in a wide variety of colors, as are the pins. The body is CNC-machined 6061-T6 alloy and rolls on Enduro bearings and self-lubricating turcite bushings. The axles are ti-nitride coated with quad o-ring seals. Two versions are available: Ti spindle (320g/pair) and cromoly spindles (380g/pair).
