In business since 1992, Javelin is a US company based in Chicago but all carbon frames are handmade in Italy using tube to tube construction. They offer stock and full custom sizes.
The Bolzano (a city in the Dolomites) is their new super light climbing bike. The size 50 frame came in at 691g, and they said they could make a safely rideable frame 50g lighter for the right customer. Frame can run mechanical or Di2, the latter getting smaller holes and plugs and the battery mount built in.
Spear that more link to see the frame and the complete bike on the scale, plus their new Garda cyclocross bike…
The size 55 complete bike with SRAM Red, Lightweight wheels and 3T cockpit (with carbon bottle cage) comes in at just 12lbs 15oz. The size 50 frame was 691g on our scale.
Javelin has their carbon frames made by Sarto in Italy, which has been making frames for 35 years, and have had several big names win some big races on board their frames. They also offer models built with the carbon/kevlar honeycomb frames we saw from others at NAHBS this year.
Seatstays use a thin, flat tube that’s angled a bit.
Garda is their new cyclocross bike. It uses the same construction and is available with either cantilever bosses or disc brake mounts. Frame weight is claimed at 1280g.
