Jerónimo Cycles, a Spanish brand that’s shown us some pretty nice and interestingly named titanium bikes in the past, has announced a new venture in steel for 2012.
Using high end Reynolds 853 tubing, they’ll produce a limited number of cZar road bikes and Rasputin mountain bikes. The Rasputin will be available in both 26″ and 29er, and all three models will have three sizes available and all are ready for racks.

Now, i could be wrong but those look like square tapered cranks Why on earth would anyone equip a high end mtn bike with a square tapered cranks in the year 2011? If your going to be selling these bikes for the price of a first born child you might as well go all out and throw on XTRs or something.
upon further inspection that mtn bike has mechanical disc brakes. For cereal?
Vodalous: Those cranks are SWEET! White Industries makes some killer stuff, and the square taper BB’s are nothing to sneeze at. Not my personal choice, but on a classic steel bike like that they fit the bill more than the Fox fork IMO.
As for the mechanical discs, those wouldn’t be my choice either….
all the crappy build bits and errors on the bikes are due to the limitations in the stock at the time of photoing i’m sure. if you are a small qty. builder you’re not likely to have a shit-ton of good parts lying around to kit out the rigs. sad though that they didn’t wait a couple days and put more modern bits on.
Most bizarre is the water and mud ingress hole drilled in the brace for the r brk.
God forbid they run anything but King headsets.
Whitebrothers cranks are over rated. I have a set in the garage on the ti bike. They’re beautiful but the tech is outdated. They’re not for people who are going to be shamshing. All my slaying bikes have shimano cranks. Don’t need to land a jump and feel my cranks flexing underfoot. Nothing like square tapered for a commuter though….
I can’t imagine putting out pictures of my limited edition bikes when one of them has a backwards chain. The bikes may be sold as frame only but if the builder isnt going to be a perfectionist about everything – I don’t want to be riding his frame so I don’t need that lifetime gaurentee.
