The big selling point of high end machined alloy computer mounts is that they won’t let go of your cycling computer over the roughest terrain. Juin Tech took a different approach, though their new Suspension Mount is still made out of alloy. Using a parallelogram design with a coil spring to absorb bumps, it allows your cycling computer to float over rough terrain. Which is good if, like our smartphones, your GPS computer continues to get larger and heavier.

In stock configuration, the Suspension Mount has a lightweight spring installed that’ll handle up to 300g on the front of it. But put that auxiliary spring in and its capacity jumps to 450g, making it able to handle a GoPro or other action camera. In theory, this should help reduce shake from your footage while keeping the camera low for a better angle.

The sweet part? It’s a parallelogram that keeps the bar mount part level with the ground. Meaning, it won’t rotate, so your camera (or computer) will stay pointing where you aim it.

Two versions are offered, the standard one with alloy mounting tubes, and the SL with carbon tubes. Retail price in Taiwan is just under $NTD 1,300, which roughly equals $40-$45, however import and shipping fees will probably drive that price up a bit for North America. We’re bringing one home from Taiwan to see how it handles an action cam, stay tuned for a future review.

Juin Tech GT-P 4 piston hydraulic disc brake caliper with mechanical cable actuation

Juin Tech’s mechanical-to-hydraulic hybrid brake calipers have been popping up on more and more show bikes, despite the fact that more and more full hydraulic systems have come to market. And now, they’ve introduced a 4-piston model, giving riders that want to upgrade their mechanical system an option with more stopping power.

They’d designed for short-pull brake levers and come in both post mount and a flat mount design. The lever has an adjustable contact point thanks to an easy, tool-free adjustment dial on the back. It uses mineral oil inside and comes in black, red, blue and green. Claimed weight is 133g

Juin Tech vented rotor with bolt-on air vents to improve cooling

Joining it are these vented brake rotors, which use a bolt-on vent to reduce heat by 30% compared to a standard steel brake rotor. The vents are compatible with Juin Tech’s 160mm rotor and come in various colors.

That camera mount is cool. I had made one about ten years back from a derailleur body that worked okay. The camera was the limiting factor in that setup – my Cannon A530 wasn’t exactly a GoPro,

Needs an R/C car shock for damping.

Their disc brakes actually work very well and very easy to set up. I have had mine for 2 years.
Definitely worth a look for people who do not wish to deal with hydraulic cables and bleeding or spend on new integrated shifters.

Used the R1s in the French Divide, excellent brakes – affordable, easy to adjust and very good performance with compressionless cable housing. Excited to see the GT-F versions which are flat mount equivalent of the post mount 4 pot ones posted above…

How much overlap / cross-licensing is between these Juin and the Yokozuna? Surely it’s not coincidence that they release 4-piston brakes at the same time?
