Hot on the heels of the new Garmin 1050 cycling GPS computer, K-EDGE is announcing some news of their own – though it still involves Garmin. Launching today, K-EDGE is announcing that they are the first licensing program member certifying their product “Works with Garmin.”

After being approached by Garmin to be recognized as an official third-party mount partner, K-EDGE has been busy testing their product line with the new 1050 and making modifications to have a mount from all categories ready to go for the larger computer.

The current list of 1050 compatible mounts on the K-EDGE website includes 17 different options with more to come.

Meh, not overly impressed by the K-edge alu top cap I’ve got for my MTB. It ‘holds’ my Garmin 530, but if the 530 get tapped on a corner and rotates, my 530 falls off. Not worth the $30 CDN I paid for it. The plastic Garmin holder the 530 came with holds the unit WAY more solidly…

It’s not a larger computer. It’s dumb Garmin moving the mount on the computer 7mm making it incompatible with many existing mounts.

The KOM CM06 mount is also 1050 compatible and works great for me. You can check it out here.
