K-Edge Pro Number Holder

For just $19.99, you, too, can own the item that K-Edge says has been one of their most requested products after supplying it to pro teams for the past few years. That includes Team SKY, Bora, Quick Step, GreenEdge, Lotto Soudal, Cofidis, and more. It mounts behind the rear brake caliper on bikes that put them in the usual spot. It includes all mounting hardware to attach it to your bike and the number plate to it.

K-Edge Pro Number Plate Holder

The Number Holder retails for $19.99 and weighs in at a claimed 23g. They come with the warning that you should remove the number plate before putting the bike on a roof rack as highway speed winds could damage the holder and or the bike.

K-Edge GoBig GoPro Top Cap Mount

They’ve also added the GoBig GoPro Top Cap that will, of course, work with any action cam or light that uses the same mounting style. It’s precision machined to hold the camera securely and also provide proper steerer stack and headset compression. It comes with all hardware and their usual lifetime warranty for $24.99. Claimed weight is 20g, available now.

The weird thing about this product is that anyone that needs a number plate would probably not have to buy a holder.

Washington state (WSBA) uses frame numbers throughout the season.

Interesting. In my area (Mid-Atlantic), we only use pinned numbers on jerseys. I do think a number plate would help out the refs a significant amount.

Note sure I agree, Michael. We need plates where I race and most people are left zip-tieing them their frames or using holders like this one. I bought a predator carbon one about 5 years back that is still going strong 😛

That cap is going to be awesome for GoPro mount type lights like Ituo wiz lights. Can’t imagine you’d get usable footage on a mtb with one though, shake city.

This type of product has been available for years, they are pretty late to the game. I used to make and sell a tool free version of them a couple years ago, and have run them on my mountain bikes. The shake isn’t really an issue, its just enough to convey the roughness of the terrain without going all over the place to where you can’t see because its so blurry, basically the same view as a chest cam but better secured. This one from K edge is probably too short though to work well on mountain bikes, especially with the stem turned up. I had to make a specific one for my downhill bike to have the camera sit high enough.

80mph in Idaho, Montana, S Dakota, Nevada, Utah… parts of Texas are up to 85. And Europe has a lot of 80mph highways, even ignoring the Autobahn.

Plus, when was the last time you were on a highway and NOT speeding if you weren’t in traffic?
